Overview
Your Pacejet services provider may activate accounts on a shared sandbox such as DemoAPI or other locations. Most initial locations will be setup in test mode only with carriers, so transactions will have no financial impact. Keep in mind as you practice in a shared sandbox that other developers may be entering shipments and there could be some overlap of transaction IDs.
Key Tools
Visit the Tools | API page to locate key tools including Help documentation, API Log, and Samples.
Visit the Tools | API | Help area for automatically generated documentation on API resource, parameters, and the data types and content for actions. This information area is helpful when working to understand the purpose of individual fields of data.
Samples
One of the most powerful education and training tools available for the Pacejet API is the code-free samples area available under Tools | API | Samples. Developers and Business Analysts can select any of the API resources on the left-hand side of the page to display a sample page with each available method for the resource, a code-sample to run the endpoint at the top, an editable request area at the bottom, and a response area in the lower right-hand part of the page. Most samples also include a drop-down list of “request scenarios” you can select to pre-populate the request. The request area also supports editing (which does not overwrite the request scenarios permanently), allowing Developers to try out different data scenarios before developing functionality.
