Selecting the Certifier and the Origin Criterion are Manual Processes

Certifier

The USMCA document Includes check boxes to indicate who is certifying the export: the EXPORTER, the PRODUCER, or the IMPORTER. See the example below:

  • The Authorized Signature, Signature Name, and Title fields are blank and need to be filled manually.

  • At this time, you will need to manually select the Exporter Certifier Type: Importer, Exporter, Producer.

The document has the ability to display an electronic signature. However, you are limited to one signature can be used per facility. If you plan to use an electronic signature, contact your implementation specialist to upload the signature image.

The IMPORTER checkbox in the Exporter Certifier section is not currently supported. If IMPORTER is selected, it renders the TITLE, PHONE NUMBER, and EMAIL fields invalid. If demand requires it, Pacejet will consider supporting this functionality at a future date.

Origin Criterion

The Origin Criterion field is automatically populated when data is imported from your ERP import into the NAFTAPreferenceCode field. The snippet example below shows where the NAFTAPreferenceCode node is located in your import.
