How to add a Hazardous Material record to Pacejet

Overview

In order to have the Hazardous Material data for some documents and carriers, the hazardous goods items must be set up in the Lists - Hazardous Materials table in Pacejet.

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Lists, and then click Hazardous Materials.

2. Click on the + sign in the Toolbar on the left to open a new record

3. Fill out the details of the UN code.

A copy of the 2021 FedEx Ground Hazardous Mats Table is attached for your research purposes. Pacejet will not be able to assist with the details of what goes into these files, only the definition of them.

  • Code

    • is the UN number

    • Examples: UN0004, or UN0014

  • Class

    • is the Hazardous Class assigned to the UN Code.

    • Choose from the dropdown list only.

      • If your class is not visible, please open a support ticket.

  • Description

    • the description of the hazardous unit code.

  • UN Code

    • UN number or UN IDs assigned.

  • Proper Shipping Name

    • is the Hazardous Materials Description and Proper Shipping Name assigned to the UN Code.

  • Packing Group

    • is the PG assigned to the UN Code.

    • Choose from the dropdown list only.

      • If your class is not visible, please open a support ticket.

  • Packing Instructions

    • are the special provisions assigned to the UN Code

  • Technical Name

    • is the name you assign the UN Code

  • Label Text

    • what text do you want to appear on the label?
