Overview
The Descartes Pacejet GLS Canada GLSCanada 26.09 release speeds up rating when several GLS Canada services are configured and adds retries when retrieving the manifest at close. Enhancements
🟪 Enhancement: Faster Rating for Multiple GLS Canada Services
Pacejet now requests rates for all configured GLS Canada services at the same time instead of one after another. Rate shops with several services, such as Express Ground, Express Air, and Freight Ground, return within the time allowed instead of coming back blank. If one service fails, the other GLS Canada rates still display, and the failing service shows as a warning. (1570671)
🟪 Enhancement: Manifest Retrieval Retries at Close
When GLS Canada has not finished generating the manifest at close, Pacejet now waits briefly and tries again instead of ending without a manifest. This reduces missing manifests and the need to reprocess the close or contact support. (1570672)
Things to Watch During Implementation
⬛ New Setting to Return to One-at-a-Time Rating: The new carrier setting GLSCanadaThrottleRating defaults to "False", which uses the faster rating. Set it to "True" only if a GLS Canada account needs requests sent one at a time. Accounts with a single GLS Canada service are not affected.
⬛ Read Rating Warnings Before Calling Support: A warning for one GLS Canada service no longer hides the other rates. Check the warning message for the service named before troubleshooting the whole carrier.
