Pacejet

Example: Third Party Billing with Only Default Accounts

Overview

Another variation of third party billing is shipping to a Ship To location which has no third party billing records at all defined. Using the Customer “Quezad Lumber Leasing” shown in the previous setup example, we’ll start by entering a sales order and creating an item fulfillment shipping to the “Newark Quezad” address as shown below.

Item Fulfillment Processed in Pacejet

When the item fulfillment record is processed in Pacejet, there is no third-party record for “Newark Quezad” causing the Shipment Details section to use the Corporate FedEx (account# 12341234) record from setup as shown below.

Re-rate and Use UPS Ground

Users could again click the clear button beside the Carrier-Service field in the Shipment Details section, re-rate the shipment and select UPS Ground as shown in the screenshot below. Notice how selection of UPS Ground as the Carrier-Service causes Pacejet to automatically load the Corporate UPS records for third party billing since it is marked as Default as shown below.

Default Account Records

Looking back at the NetSuite Customer setup to verify this example, recall that there are no records defined for the “Newark Quezad” Ship To address. However, Pacejet will use the Default Account records for billing rather than leaving the information blank.

This simple example shows how Default Account records can be used to provide an overall “corporate carrier account set” which is used for all Ship To locations where a unique set of carrier accounts is not defined in the setup.
