Netsuite User Accounts and Security

NetSuite Integration Account for API Access

  • The best, recommended, and most complete Pacejet integration support requires setup with a privileged account that can perform integration transactions at an API level within NetSuite.

  • Pacejet transactions interact with only what is needed for shipping but this is a large footprint of data in NetSuite including orders, fulfillments, purchases, estimates, items, customers, inventory, standard fields, custom fields, and other data.

  • This configuration includes support for features like the automated shipping workbench synchronization.

Disabling Pacejet Access to the NetSuite User Interface

  • For security purposes, Pacejet recommends that NetSuite Administrators change the security questions associated with the API access account used in the standard setup.

Session Sharing Alternative

  • Pacejet supports a session-sharing alternative configuration where a user can login to NetSuite and then activate Pacejet to process transactions.

  • In this configuration, Pacejet will share the logged in user account status and not require an additional account for setup.

  • This option allows NetSuite administrators to avoid providing a more privileged account to Pacejet but the drawback is more automated processing like the shipping workbench is not available and users will encounter errors in Pacejet when their NetSuite session times out and is logged out.
