Solution Overview
The Pacejet Label Connector provides data integration and printing support with BarTender to automate label printing for specific customer, industry, or regulatory compliance requirements. The solution automatically delivers data to BarTender with each shipment as a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file, allowing standard BarTender forms creation and printing to be managed by administrators.
Prerequisites for This Product
The following prerequisites must be met to use this solution:
Licensed (non-demo) BarTender Automation 2019 or 2021 are the recommended versions and editions.
Please verify that you are using the current release as found on the BarTender web site.Licensed (non-demo) BarTender Automation 2016 is supported though not recommended for most installations. Please verify that you are using the current release as found on the BarTender web site.
Earlier BarTender versions are not supported (but may work with the Pacejet integration).
Only BarTender installations configured on local workstations with versions of Windows support by Microsoft are supported during the initial implementation phase. When the Label Connector implementation with BarTender is working properly in this environment, the customer may request that their Seagull Software partner move the BarTender installation to a networked environment. The customer and partner take full responsibility for implementing and supporting BarTender in the new environment.
The BarTender installation and configuration must be completed by an authorized Seagull Software partner (Pacejet can recommend a partner) or by customer resources.
BarTender forms editing, diagnostics, data mapping, and other technical services must be provided by an authorized Seagull Software partner (Pacejet can recommend a partner) or by customer resources.

A: Pacejet provides sample labels as part of the Label Connector implementation. These labels are intended for testing and training purposes only and not for production use. Production quality and custom labels should only be produced by a qualified BarTender expert or a Seagull Software partner.
Q: How long does it take labels to print?
A: Printing times vary dependent on a variety of factors including workflow, network speed, and other factors outside Pacejet’s control.
Q: Which file formats can the Pacejet Label Connector create for sending data to BarTender?
A: The Pacejet Label Connector only creates .csv (comma separated values) formatted files.
Q: Can Custom data fields from my ERP system be mapped to the CSV file that the Pacejet Label Connector creates for BarTender to consume?
