Overview
Priority1 less than truckload (LTL) shippers can capture and reuse Quote IDs throughout the Descartes Pacejet rating and shipping workflow. This makes it easier to keep pricing references aligned between Priority1, Pacejet and the final shipping documents.
Note: Please see comments on a Quote ID length change being issued by Priority1 in May of 2026.
Overview Of Quote ID Availability
When you rate LTL shipments with Priority1 in Pacejet, the carrier response can include a Quote ID. Pacejet stores this Quote ID with the shipment so you can reference it later in the shipping process and display it on the bill of lading (BOL).
The Quote ID can be used to:
Track which Priority1 quote was applied to the shipment.
Support pricing questions from internal teams and customers.
Display a clear quote reference on printed or electronic shipping paperwork.
Capturing The Quote ID During Rating
When you request LTL rates from Priority1 in Pacejet, the Priority1 rating service can return a Quote ID as part of the response. Pacejet captures this value automatically and associates it with the rated shipment.
After rating, you can review the Priority1 Quote ID from the shipment details. For example, you might verify the Quote ID before you continue to shipping or before you print paperwork.
Using The Quote ID On the Bill of Lading
The captured Priority1 Quote ID can be printed on the BOL so that drivers, warehouses, and customers all see the same quote reference that was used to rate the shipment.
Depending on your configuration, the Quote ID can appear in a custom Bill of Lading you have created or on the standard Bill of Lading available with Self Service Shipping Paperwork. Work with your Pacejet implementation or support contact if you need to adjust where the Quote ID prints on your Priority1 LTL BOL layout.
Self-Service Shipping Paperwork and Quote ID
If you use the Pacejet Self-Service Shipping Paperwork feature, you can add the Priority1 Quote ID directly on the BOL as part of your own workflow.
On the Self-Service Shipping Paperwork Bill of Lading form, you access a field labeled Quote ID and position it on your own version of the Bill of Lading form.

Priority1 Quote ID Format Change
In May of 2026, Priority1 is expanding the Quote ID format from a 32-bit integer to a 64-bit integer. This change increases the range of possible Quote IDs on the Priority1 side.
Note: Because of how the Pacejet integration with Priority1 is built, this Quote ID format change requires no changes to your Pacejet configuration or integration. Pacejet will continue to accept, store, and print the Quote ID returned by Priority1, including new 64-bit values.
You can continue to rate and ship Priority1 LTL orders in Pacejet as you do today. Quote IDs will remain available for use on the BOL and in any related shipping workflows.
