Automations: Map action overview

The Map action transforms data from one context into another — for example, mapping ERP codes into Pacejet values or translating one field’s content into another.

Purpose

Use a Map automation when you need a repeatable way to translate incoming data into the formats, codes, or structures that Pacejet and your downstream systems expect.

Common scenarios include:

  • Mapping ERP shipping methods or service codes to specific carrier services in Pacejet.

  • Translating customer- or channel-specific values into standardized internal codes.

  • Converting one field’s values into another field’s values to keep configurations aligned.

Map actions help you eliminate manual lookups, spreadsheets, and one-off conversion rules by codifying your mapping logic directly in Pacejet.

Key Settings and Configuration

In the Map action configuration, you will:

  • Choose the source field(s) and target field(s)

  • Define mapping tables or rules that translate one value into another

  • Control how unmapped or unexpected values are handled
