Understanding the difference between these fields helps users interpret report results correctly and avoid confusion when comparing shipment weights.

Entered Weight (Shipment Summary) and PACKAGE ORDER WEIGHT (Shipment Summary XLS) represent the actual package weight captured in Pacejet.
This value may originate from:
Manual user entry
Pacejet weight calculations
Weight captured from an integrated scale
In practice, this is the same weight displayed on the Rate & Ship page during shipment processing.

Carrier Weight / PACKAGE CARRIER WEIGHT
Description
Carrier Weight (Shipment Summary) and PACKAGE CARRIER WEIGHT (Shipment Summary XLS) represent a dimensional weight calculated by the report.
This value is not the actual package weight entered into Pacejet. Instead, it is calculated using the package dimensions associated with the shipment and dimensional-weight formulas commonly used by UPS and FedEx.
For carriers that do not use these dimensional-weight calculations, the value may not be meaningful.
The package dimensions used in the calculation are typically the dimensions shown on the Rate & Ship page.
Dimensional Weight Formula
The dimensional factor depends on whether the shipment is considered domestic or international.
Carrier Weight is calculated as:
Dimensional Weight = Package Volume ÷ Dimensional Factor
Where:
Package Volume = Length × Width × Height
Domestic Shipments
A shipment is considered domestic when:
Ship From Country = Ship To Country

Package dimensions:

Volume:
20 × 12 × 10 = 2,400 cubic inches
Domestic Shipment
2,400 ÷ 166 = 14.46 lbs
Carrier Weight = 14.46
International Shipment
2,400 ÷ 139 = 17.27 lbs
