Load Management

Overview

Load Management is how Pacejet provides information for a collection of shipments processed within a certain time period, typically shipments processed within the same day.

Load Management is typically used to schedule pickups with carriers.

Customer Use Cases:

  • End-Of-Day Function

    • Shipment data sent to the carrier once a day, at the end of day(EOD). Carrier may/may not send a response/EOD report.

  • Consolidated Documentation

    • Master Bill-Of-Lading (BOL)

    • Commercial Invoice

  • Zone Skipping (Parcel/LTL)

    • A logistics technique whereby a shipper consolidates many individual packages or orders. These individual packages can be held and aggregated until the quantity reaches a full truckload or LTL.

    • Ship to a location between the origin and the destination. This is typically a carrier hub from which the carrier will take the shipment(s) to the final destination.
