GS1 Label Templates and Barcode Data Overview

Three GS1 Labels are available in Self-Service Shipping Paperwork – Retail Templates.
GS1 labels are often required by Trading Partners (a business that is a customer of the shipper). The labels may be required on shipments to retailers' distribution centers or retailers store locations. The retailer receives the product in the inventory by scanning the serialized shipping container code (SSCC) barcode.

  • GS1 Label - Carton Handling Unit (for parcel shipments to trading partners such as warehouses or stores)

  • GS1 Label - Carton Subcontainer (for freight shipments)

  • GS1 Label - Pallet Handling Unit (for freight shipments)

These templates support Code 128B barcoding, ensuring compliance with trading partner requirements and allowing seamless scanning.


Accessing the GS1 Label Templates

  1. From the main menu, click Setup, Paperwork, and then click Editor.

  2. Click the Templates tab on the left-hand side.


Saving the GS1 Label Templates

The Save button is greyed out. Use Save As to save a GS1 Label Template to the My Templates section. The save process requires a name and a description for the template.
