Pre-requisites
A plug-in must first be installed in order to create Billing Account Address records that will be used for Third Party Billing. A Pacejet Customer Care representative can make sure this plugin is activated.

Key Points
The Pacejet tab on the NetSuite customer record includes a custom record type to store Third Party Account information as shown below.
Multiple records can be created for different carriers such as UPS and FedEx, allowing users to leverage Pacejet rate-shopping, choose carriers at the point of shipping and allow Pacejet to automatically load the correct account information when users change carriers.
The one-key-look-up field for this process is the Ship To address. When an item fulfillment record is transmitted to Pacejet, accounts that match the Ship To address will be sent with it.
Another optional setting is a “Default Account” flag which can be linked to multiple carriers and instructs Pacejet to use this account when custom NetSuite addresses are entered into an order. This setup is very useful, for example, with e-commerce records which will be shipped using a single/central customer record in NetSuite.
This article provides instructions for setting and using account information in NetSuite to automate various carrier account billing processes via Pacejet.
Default Accts in Combination with Ship To Accounts
A simple, high-level view of Third-Party Accounts management is illustrated below.
Records with a default account flag set to Yes can be used to receive freight charges for custom address shipments or Ship To addresses without accounts.
Ship to addresses with their own accounts can use those accounts for freight charges.
ShipTo addresses with an account only with some carriers can “default back” to a corporate account for others.
Example 1) Ship to Phoenix Office
UPS shipment billed to “Phoenix UPS”
FedEx shipment billed to “Phoenix FedEx”
Example 2) Ship to Columbus Office
UPS shipment billed to “Corporate UPS”
FedEx shipment billed to “Columbus FedEx”
Example 3) Ship to Newark Office (has no accounts)
UPS shipment billed to “Corporate UPS”
FedEx shipment billed to “Corporate FedEx”
Example 4) Ship To Custom Address
UPS shipment billed to “Corporate UPS”
FedEx shipment billed to “Corporate FedEx”
Defining Carrier Account in NetSuite Customer Records
The Pacejet tab on each NetSuite customer record can be used to store a list of 3rd Party Accounts used for shipments processed to various ship-to addresses under each customer record. Users can enter one account per carrier for multiple ship-to addresses, allowing you to store a set of unique FedEx, UPS, and other accounts for each physical ship-to address. The feature also provides the capability to have an overall default for a customer of multiple shipto addresses will all use the one, main account.
The example shown below illustrates a typical configuration where you might have a UPS and FedEx account set defined as corporate defaults and then configure other UPS and FedEx accounts that will be used only for specific Ship To addresses.
Key Points of this Example Setup:
The account records named“Corporate UPS and Corporate FedEx are linked to the
Billing Address for the Quezad Corporate address are NOT linked to any Ship To Address AND have Default Account = Yes. These accounts will be used when shipping to any Ship To address which does not have a carrier account defined in the Pacejet table.
The account record named Columbus FedEx is linked to the Billing Address “Columbus Quezad” AND is linked to the Ship To address of “Columbus Quezad” AND has Default Account = No. This account will only be used for FedEx shipments to the Columbus Quezad Ship To location.
The account records named UPS and Phoenix FedEx linked to the Billing Address for Phoenix Quezad are linked to the “Phoenix Quezad” Ship To Address AND have the Default Account = No setting enabled. These accounts will be used when shipping only to the “Phoenix Quezad” Ship To address.
When users are editing the Pacejet Third Party Account records, there is some flexibility in naming conventions and setup with the following important qualifications:
Customer Link should generally be set to match the customer for which this record is created.
Billing Address should be set to link to the billing address which was used to register the carrier account to be used for billing. This is VERY important because carrier validation (e.g. UPS and FedEx) will verify information such as the Zip / Postal Code and/or Country before allowing a shipment to be billed to the account.
Ship To Address can be left blank (when the Customer default checkbox is activated) or the field can be linked to a specific Ship To address.
Name field can be used to enter a user-friendly name that is easily to distinguish over time after many accounts have been entered.
Lastly, users MUST use only ONE Carrier + Class of Service entry to instruct Pacejet to use an account for ALL classes of service with that carrier (e.g. Adding an account setup with FedEx and a service like Ground will instruct Pacejet to use this account for all FedEx services such as 2nd Day Air, etc.)
The illustration below shows a sample Pacejet Third Party Accounts record in edit mode. In addition to the basic fields for entry, there are reminders to use only one class of service for each carrier in the setup (ex. UPS Ground). Please note that setting up multiple records with combinations such as UPS Ground, UPS Next Day, UPS 3 Day Select is NOT a supported configuration and may result in unexpected behavior.
