Workstations used to ship hazardous materials and dangerous goods must be connected to the computer on which the Remote Shipment Connector is installed to complete the shipping process in a remote shipping application. This article provides instructions for connecting workstations to that computer. It is one of several steps in the setup of the Remote Shipment Connector.
How to connect a workstation to the Remote Shipment Connector
Go to Setup > Workstations, Printers & Scales. This opens the Assets screen.
On the All Workstations tab, click on the Name of the workstation that you want to connect to the Remote Shipment Connector.
In the Workstation Details section, on the Details tab, in the Remote Shipment System Name field, enter the system name of the computer on which the Remote Shipment Connector is installed.
Locating the system name of the computer where the Remote Shipment Connector is installed
On the computer where the Remote Shipment Connector is installed, click the Start menu.
Type System Information, and select System Information from the list. The System Name field displays the computer's name.
