Overview

Custom Data is a new feature allowing Pacejet to capture, manage, and use more user-defined types of data stored as part of shipments, packages, or products/items.

Key Features Include the Following

• The ability to define Custom Data fields for shipments, packages, or products/items

• Pacejet API support to receive Custom Data fields for shipments, packages, products/items

• Pacejet API support to read Custom Data fields to support integration updates

• The ability to view Custom Data on the Rate and Ship Page and drill-down to edit fields

• Custom Data Configuration page to define new Custom Data field definitions

• A new interface for creating and managing custom data

• Unlimited numbers of Custom Data fields can be defined and used

Examples of Usage

• Create a custom field called Amazon Order.

• Create a custom field called Package Reference, use map data to carrier reference fields in a more standard way.

• Create custom shipment fields such as a Rate-Shop field that could be used to control how Pacejet rate shopping operates or a “Store” field that could be used to pass information to Pacejet for custom labels or packing lists.

Access Custom Data Configuration

To access custom data configuration from the main menu, click Tools, Custom Data, and then click Custom Data Configuration.
