Installing Pacejet Connector

Before you begin

Before you begin installing the Pacejet Connector, you will need the information below. This information is found from the Pacejet main menu by clicking Help, and then clicking About.

  • Your API license key

  • Your Print license key

iF YOU RECEIVE A message indicating the any licenses are not enabled, contact Pacejet Support.

Determine which version of Pacejet Connector you are currently using

  1. From your computer's (PC) taskbar, click the search icon (Search.png).

  2. Type "Pacejet".

  3. Select either Pacejet Connector Configuration or Pacejet Print Connector Configuration.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Click the View tab.

  6. Click About...

  7. Determine your Pacejet Connector version:

    • Version 5.0 or higher (Pacejet Connector), do not uninstall the current version. Follow the steps below for installing the new version of Pacejet Connector: Downloading and Installing Pacejet Connector.

    • Previous versions (Pacejet Print Connector), uninstall your current version before installing the new Pacejet Connector.

Prerequisites

If installing the Remote Shipment Connector:

  • DO NOT install Remote Shipment Connector if you have not purchased the module from Pacejet.

    • Contact Support if you have questions

  • Customer locations must be hosted on Pacejet Data Center W2V1 or E1V1.

  • Customer locations must use an ERP or other integrations built with the API. NetSuite users must use the Pacejet Shipping for NetSuite 20.2 or later with SS 2.0.

If installing the Label Connector (BarTender):

  • DO NOT install Label Connector (BarTender) if you have not purchased the module from Pacejet.

    • Contact Support if you have questions

  • Either the Automation or the Enterprise version of BarTender® 2021, BarTender® 2019 (Release 5 or higher), or BarTender® 2016 (Release 8 or higher) must be installed.

  • The workstation must have Windows 10 or above.

  • Printers must be:

      • installed and working properly for standard Pacejet document printing

      • PDF compatible

How to install Pacejet Connector

  1. Download the Pacejet Connector Install file (linked below).

  2. When the download completes, navigate to the download location and double-click PacejetConnectorSetup.msi to start the install.
    This opens the Pacejet Connector Setup Wizard. This file has a version number at the end of the file name.

  3. Click Next.
    The Custom Setup wizard panel appears.

    1. Click the Pacejet Remote Shipment drop-down list.

    2. Click either UPS-Hazmat Support, UPS-WorldEase Support, or FedEx-Hazmat Support.

    3. Click Next.

  4. If you are using the modules: Label Connector (BarTender) or Remote Shipment Connector

        • Check yes for each connector you want to install; click the connector's drop-down menu and select Will be installed on local hard drive.

        • Otherwise, leave it as-is and continue to the next step.

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the Destination Folder wizard panel, click Next.
    We recommend that you not change the default destination folder.

  7. In the Service Name wizard panel, click Next.
    IMPORTANT! Do NOT change the default service name.

  8. In the Pacejet Portal Name wizard panel, do the following:

      • Enter the desired Portal Name.

      • In the Pacejet Print License Key field, enter the license key.

      • In the Pacejet API License Key field, enter the PacejetAPI license key.
        This license is only needed for customers on the W2v1 and E1v1 data centers. This field can be left blank for users on the EC2 data center, unless the customers are using the label connector.

      • Click Validate Portal Name and License. This verifies that you have keyed in the license keys correctly.

  9. Click Next.

  10. In the Local Administrator Account wizard panel, click the Local System option and then click Next.

  11. In the Ready to install Pacejet Connector wizard panel, click Install.

  12. In the final wizard panel, select the checkboxes of the configuration wizards you want to launch.
    The panel only displays checkboxes for the connectors you selected to install in step 4; if you did not install a particular connector, it will not be displayed in the panel.

  13. Click Finish. Configuration windows for each of the connectors you selected appear.
    If the Carrier Service drop-down list is blank, click New.
