TROUBLESHOOTING: Labels Not Printing

Pacejet cannot provide direct support for BarTender. The following suggestions are based on Pacejet's experiences. It is recommended that you contact your BarTender support provider for in-depth assistance.

Labels not being printed and not listed in the printer's queue can be the result of multiple issues. This article describes issues that Pacejet has encountered when printing fails. We recommend that you contact your BarTender support provider for more detailed troubleshooting.

User Rights

Labels not printing is sometimes a security (user rights) issue. In BarTender Integration Builder, replace local account with a domain or Administrator’s account in each of the integration actions.

Print Actions Are Processed But Not Printed (Windows Update Issue)

It has been reported that sometimes BarTender Integration actions are processed correctly, but labels are not printed. In these cases, the last integration entry in the BarTender log is Print Document.

Cause

This issue is caused by Windows 10 and and Windows server 2012 and higher recent updates.
(Source BarTender Support - 01/30/2020)

When Bartender Integration calls the .btw label, the label is opened and populated with the Pacejet .csv file data. Population of the data within the label may have an internal message waiting for a user response, which cannot be responded to.

These messages may refer to Page size difference, field length expansion, etc.

These messages can also be caused by using a central Label repository, labels developed on another machine, etc.

Review the error log file for the following message:
The remote procedure call failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BE)
(The log file is typically found in C:\ProgramData\Seagull\Services\Logging\PrintScheduler.Service.txt)

Suggested Resolutions

  • Ensure that the developed BarTender label design matches the printer properties and its compatibilities.

  • Open each label on the target machine. Respond to prompts, then save the label on the target machine.

  • In the BarTender Integration Builder perform the following steps:
