NetSuite Third Party Account Mapping
The Pacejet integration for NetSuite allows our customers to store customer carrier account numbers, link those accounts to individual customer records, and then automatically charge customers for shipping expenses when using Third Party Billing freight terms.
Third-Party Billing Account Types
Third-party accounts can be defined on NetSuite customer records. Multiple records can be created for different carriers such as UPS and FedEx, allowing users to leverage Pacejet rate shopping, choose carriers at the point of shipping, and allow Pacejet to automatically load the correct account information when users change carriers.
The setup allows two choices for setting up the third party account; Default or Ship To Specific.
Default - A default third-party account is used when a customer has a carrier account number that will be used for all third-party billing shipments for that customer. The default accounts are carrier specific. Therefore, an entry on the customer record would be necessary for each carrier to be used for third-party billing shipments.
Ship To Specific - A ship to specific third-party account is used when a customer has multiple carrier account numbers that will be used for specific Ship To addresses. The ship to specific accounts will require an entry for each individual account on the customer record with the corresponding ship to address defined.
Only one third-party billing account type can be selected per carrier. Selecting both default and ship to specific is not supported.
Processing a Third Party Billing Shipment
Freight terms of Third Party Billing will need to be selected on the Pacejet tab when creating the Sales Order/Item Fulfillment record in NetSuite.
Importing the Order from NetSuite
Importing the order from NetSuite to Pacejet will result in the Third Party Account information being visible to the user under the Shipment section of the Pacejet Rate and Ship screen.
If a default third-party account is used, the default account will be displayed. If Ship To a specific third-party account is used, the corresponding third-party account for the Ship To address will be displayed.
During rating, users will see carrier rates for the shipment. The update from Pacejet to NetSuite will result in a $0.00 Shipping Cost value to be updated on the NetSuite Item Fulfillment record. Freight Cost and Freight Price will have the values that are found on the Rate & Ship page on the NetSuite Item Fulfillment record.
