What Changes When Use RF Smart Packages Is Selected

Overview

When the RF Smart option is selected in either script deployments or Pacejet Settings in NetSuite, it is assumed the customer is using RF Smart Packaging as part of their pick/pack process.

This article discusses both how to find and how to use the RF Smart Packing Option.

Finding the RF Smart Option in NetSuite

The Pacejet Settings page automatically determines whether the account has the appropriate RF Smart bundle prior to making available the option “Use RF Smart Packages” (see image below).

If a customer has an RF Smart integration but can’t see the option, it’s likely they do have RF Smart but not the packing add-on that RF Smart provides.

To find the RF smart option, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Pacejet, Configure Pacejet, then click Settings (don't click New or Search).

  2. Select Import Settings from the ribbon.

  3. Scroll down to General Import Settings.

Using the RF Smart Pick/Pack Solution

IMPORTANT! If they are NOT using RF Smart Packaging part of the solution, do NOT select the RF Smart Checkbox.

If they are using the RF Smart Pick/Pack solution and want to use the RF Smart packing portion as well, check the RF Smart option (see directions above), and the following will occur:

All data in regards to the packages will use the RF Smart Package record that is related to the transaction. It includes these fields (Parent record ? child record in RF Smart schema).
