ProBill Blocks by Carrier FAQ

Overview

• This article will explain how to add ProBill blocks to a Pacejet portal.

• It will also show the standard formatting for each common LTL Carrier.

Steps

1. The Customer will need to acquire a ProBill block the carrier.

• The customer will need a sequential block, as well as the number of expected ProBills in order to add the block to Pacejet.

  • Usually, it will look something like 12341001 - 12342000, which is 1000 ProBills.

    • It will almost always be 100, 500, or 1000 ProBills in a sequence.

    • It will always be a round number.

  • Sometimes it will look like 123410015 - 123420009.

    • • In this instance, the last digit is a check digit and should be removed before adding the sequential block. The probill generator will handle assigning the check digit once it is set up.

    • 123410015 - 123420009 is a range of 9,994 - which is a large number and also not a round number, and is a clear indicator that it is incorrect.

    • If you try to generate more than 2000 ProBills at once, the database table can become corrupted and will require a Technical Support Ticket to get fixed by the Ops Team.

2. Verify the Carrier has a Probill Generator assigned to it (Technical Support Only)

• Navigate to Admin>Location Setup>Carrier>Carrier

• Click on the carrier for the ProBill block you want to add.

• Click on the LTL PRO Tab.

• Click in the LTL_PRO Stored Procedure field and select the corresponding ProBill generator for the carrier you are adding ProBills for.

  • ProBill blocks can be added for ANY carrier using the Irm_CarrierProBill_Generator_Default selection, although it will only allow sequential blocks and will not consider check digits.

  • Save

3. How to add a ProBill Block

• Navigate to Setup>Freight Rating>LTL PRO Setup

• Click on the + Icon

• Select the Carrier, Class of Service, Site, and Facility from the dropdowns

• Add the sequential portion of your ProBill Block. Leave the Prefix and Suffix Sections blank unless specified otherwise in the carrier section below.

• Save.

4. How to generate a ProBill Block

• Click on the block you just added, then hit the Generate PROs button.

• If everything is successful, you will see a message saying 1000 Pro Bills Generated.
