The Container List column title uses Name, whereas the Edit Container title is Number. Pacejet will use Name / Number interchangeably for this field.

  • Number

    • A value of your choosing. Must be 20 characters or less. Note: If you are using Scan Pack and intend to scan the Name/Number, it is recommended that special characters or spaces are not used.

  • Description

    • A value of your choosing. Note: The Container drop-down shows the description first, followed by Name/Number in parenthesis. If both the Number and Description are identical, only a single value appears.

  • Type

    • Enter a specific value depending on your needs. Note: Pacejet’s Auto Packing only recognizes containers with a Type value of Box or Pallet. Certain carriers offer rates based on the type of packaging and will require a specific value. *

  • LxWxH

    • Enter the value for length, width, and height. Set the measurement dropdown based on your country. Note: If you are a US-based shipper, set to ‘IN’. If you are outside the US, set to ‘CM’.

  • Maximum Weight

    • Enter the maximum weight the container can hold. Note: This value is used exclusively by Pacejet’s Auto Packing within Quoting.

  • Standard Weight

    • Enter the weight of the container when it is empty. Note: This is commonly referred to as the tare weight. It is used by Pacejet’s Auto Packing, Recalc Weight, and Scan Pack.

  • Weight UOM

    • Select the proper value based on your country. Note: If you are a US-based shipper, set to ‘LB’. If you are outside the US, set to ‘KG’.

  • Non-Shipping Container

    • A special flag applicable only for FedEx parcels. For Example a bucket or Tire.

    • Will also EXCLUDE this container from being used in Predictive Packing.

  • Master Pack Container

    • A special flag applicable only for the Scan and Pack Essentials and Scan and Pack Enterprise.

      • Note: Check this flag to identify a container that holds a specific item and quantity. The Master Pack is associated with a specific container/product combination that pre-sets the product and quantity of that product in a container.

      • For example, if shipping coffee mugs. Container Box holds a quantity of 10 item Red Cup in Master Pack C1, and quantity of 10 item Brown Mug in Master Pack C2. In each instance, the same container (Box) only holds 10 coffee mugs, but they could be different items within that container as defined by Master Packs C1 and C2 (different color in this example). When scanning items in Scan and Pack, if (for example) C1 is scanned, master pack C1 (container Box with a quantity of 10 items Red Cup) is added to the shipment.

    • Will also EXCLUDE this container from being used in Predictive Packing.
