Equipment Guidelines

These guidelines are provided to assist with the purchasing of hardware/equipment used with your Pacejet shipping software solution. Pacejet recommends that all equipment is purchased with a return option and that specific equipment models and driver versions are tested for your needs and in your physical and operational environment. The models and versions mentioned below are current as of the publication of this document, but this information may change at any time and is not a guarantee of compatibility. Please discuss your specific business needs with your Pacejet Representative.


Shipping Workstations

Shipping workstations must be running the current release of a supported browser:

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Microsoft Edge

  • The Pacejet Printer Connector, Scale Connector, and Remote Services Connectors can only be installed on workstations running Windows 10 or later, with the minimum equivalent to an Intel® Core i5™ (3.0 GHz or faster) with 8GB or more RAM.


Printers for Documents (8.5 x 11)

Monochrome laser and inkjet printers are supported for all carriers in the Pacejet shipping solution software.


Printers for Labels (4 x 6, 2 x 3)

Label formats vary widely depending on the carriers used, often including ZPL, EPL, GIF, JPG, PNG, PDF, and TIF. Thermal label printers with built-in PDF and 203 dpi support are required. Popular printers with verified support and high usability include:

  • Zebra ZT200, ZT220 Series (203 dpi)

  • Zebra GK420, ZD420, ZP450, and ZP500 Series


Barcode Scanners for Packing

Bluetooth or USB-tethered scanners vary widely in technology, symbology support (e.g. 3of9), and functionality options. It is important to evaluate your needs and test devices carefully before purchasing. Popular scanners with verified support and high usability include:

  • Inateck – BCST-10 family


Electronic Scales

The Pacejet Shipping application is compatible with scales that support the USB HID (Human Interface Device) standard (sometimes referred to as "USB Wedge" or "Keyboard Wedge"). This standard is supported by many scale makes and models.

Please contact your scale manufacturer or vendor to verify that the scale you plan to purchase supports USB HID.
Scales that require USB interface adapters (example: RS-232 to USB) are not supported.


Electronic Dimensioning Systems

Pacejet cannot provide support for configuring dimension-capturing systems. Please work directly with Cubiscan or ExpressCube support when integrating their devices into your environment.

  • The following Cubiscan model series can be used with Pacejet Cubiscan Connector's version 23.1 or higher, using the webservice connection:

    • 25

    • 75

    • 100

    • 110

    • 150

    • 325

  • Cubiscan models supported with USB connection:

    • Cubiscan – Model 110-T

    • Cubiscan - Model 110-XT

  • ExpressCube™
