Overview
This setting (released in Pacejet version 20.2) should be set by default to "Wait and Monitor" for legacy and new API-based integrations. The setting options determine how Pacejet responds to and records user activity while waiting for the status to be displayed on the Ship Notifications screen.
If the user attempts to move from the Ship Notification screen to another screen before all of the tasks complete, Pacejet responds according which option is selected:
Wait and Monitor - (default) This setting causes the confirmation page to poll for status changes and warn/log if a user leaves the page prior to update completion (see illustration below). This setting is most useful for legacy integrations to monitor completion of each ERP update.
Wait - This optional setting causes the confirmation page to poll for status changes but NOT warn/log if a user leaves the page prior to completion. This is most useful when users prefer to monitor the ERP update completion, but find that they need to move on to other shipments if ERP systems are completing updates too slowly.
Proceed - This optional setting does not poll for updates at all and does not warn/log if a user leaves the page prior to completion.
The Pacejet Event Viewer:
Errors recorded from the ERP Connector WS Update Mode setting are recorded in the Pacejet Event Viewer (Tools>Event Viewer): Note: This error entry is only created if "Wait and Monitor" value is selected.
Clicking on the TransactionID link displays a detailed error message, similar to the following:
