Pacejet

Using HTTPS is Recommended with Pacejet

Overview

Sometimes referred to as the "lock icon" on the web browser address bar, HTTPS is a secure version of the basic Internet HTTP (HyperText Transport Protocol) used with websites and cloud-based software applications like Pacejet. Although it's not yet required to use HTTPS with all Pacejet transactions, it is highly recommended for administrators to ensure protection, privacy, and transaction integrity. This article covers the basic use, verification, and implications of running HTTPS with Pacejet.

Using HTTPS with Pacejet

Pacejet supports HTTPS by default, with standard certificates supporting 2048 bit encryption with Pacejet application transactions. Administrators and users can activate encryption support by simply using HTTPS in all integration settings, URL shortcuts, and any other references to Pacejet. When HTTPS is used to access Pacejet, the "lock icon" and "Connection is secure" messages will be available as shown below.
