Installing and Configuring the Cubiscan Installation File

Before you Begin

Before you begin installing the Pacejet Cubiscan Connector, you will need your API license key. This information is found in the Pacejet main menu by clicking Help and then clicking About.

The Pacejet Cubiscan Connector Installation file can be found at the bottom of this page.

Install the Cubiscan Installation (.msi) File

Follow the steps below to install the Cubiscan .msi file.

  1. Download the PacejetCubiscanInstall file (linked below).

  2. When the download completes, navigate to the download location and double-click PacejetCubiscanInstall.msi to start the installation.
    This file has a version number at the end of the file name.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • If your browser opens a Windows protected your PC screen, click More info, and then click Run anyway.
      This opens the Pacejet Cubiscan Setup Wizard.

    • If your browser opened the Pacejet Cubiscan Setup Wizard, continue to step 4.

  4. Click Next.

  5. In the Destination Folder wizard panel, click Next.
    We recommend that you do not change the default destination folder.

  6. In the Pacejet Location Name wizard panel, do the following:

    • In the Location Name field, enter the Location Name.

    • In the Pacejet API License Key field, enter the PacejetAPI license key. (Refer to Before you Begin)

  7. Click Next.

  8. Click Install.

  9. Click Finish.

  10. Continue with Configure the CubiScan Connector steps below.

Configure the Cubiscan Connector

  1. At the Pacejet Cubiscan Configuration and Testing screen, begin the configuration steps:

    1. Click the Ping for USB devices ( ping.png ) button.
      Pacejet populates the screen with all USB devices (for example, mouse, keyboard, printers, scales, etc.)

    2. Place a test item on your connected Cubiscan.

    3. Check the box next to the Vendor ID / Product ID for the Cubiscan you are using. This is the Vendor ID /Product ID in the grid with the valid weight.

    4. Click Save.

    5. Click the Measure icon ( Measure.png ) to verify that the returned weight and dimensions (on the Configuration screen) match the weight and dimensions on the Cubiscan.

    6. Click the Start Cubiscan Service button. ( Start_ExpressCube_Service.png ).

    7. In the Scale System Name field, click the clipboard at the end of the field. (This will be used in the Adding a Pacejet Cubiscan Device to the Workstation steps listed below.)

    8. Click to select either Cubiscan Web Service or USB Connection (deprecated).

The USB Connection setting is listed as deprecated but will remain in place for customers that are using Cubiscan 110-T and 110-XT models.
For the Cubiscan Web Service:
- The IP Address entered should be that of the Cubiscan dimensioner scale.
- In order for the IP Address to be recognized, the Cubiscan should not be connected via USB.
