Pacejet offers multiple scanning solutions designed to streamline your packing and shipping process. This article compares the features of each of the Pacejet scanning solutions.
Quick Ship
Quick Ship is a core platform feature available to all shippers. It is well suited for eCommerce-type shipments with a handful of items and a couple of packages, envelopes, or boxes. When speed is a top consideration, setting the carrier and class of service first in the ERP system makes this flow most efficient. It is also possible to rate shop during the Quick Ship process. Scan and Pack Add-ons
When packaging is more complex and advanced capabilities are needed, Pacejet offers Scan and Pack Essentials and Scan and Pack Enterprise. Both modules support additional barcodes for product or container scanning and integration with Pacejet’s Label Connector.
Scan Pack Enterprise contains the most advanced features with multi-level packing. This is suited for large LTL freight shipments where boxes are packed onto pallets.

(1) Pacejet’s integration with NetSuite includes a UPC Code. Inquire about whether your ERP system can provide a UPC Code for Pacejet Scanning.
(2) Scan the Enter Quantity barcode to manually input the quantity.
(3) Scan Codes are set up within Pacejet to reduce the number of scans required for products packaged in quantities greater than one. For example, four of item A.
(4) Pacejet contains a Product List with an Is Serialized flag. When enabled for an item, a prompt for serial numbers occurs during scanning. The serial numbers are merely captured and recorded. Serial numbers picked in the ERP system are not passed into Pacejet and validated.
(5) A Master Pack is a Scan Code linked to a Pacejet Container. For example, four of Item A in a 6x6x8 size box weighing seven pounds. Scanning a Master Pack records the item within a container, including dimensions and weight, whereas a Scan Code records only the item.
(6) The Pacejet Label Connector is a separately licensed module that provides integration to third-party solutions. Refer to Product Brief: Pacejet Label Connector for more information.
Containers, Scan Codes, and Master Packs are set up within Pacejet. These barcodes can be printed from Pacejet.
Scanning Requirements
Scanning requires a USB scanner connected to the shipping computer, which may also have a desktop scale attached. Refer to the Prerequisites and Key Features sections of Quick Ship for additional details.
Bar Codes
The products being shipped need a 3 of 9 barcode font that matches the ERP Item setup.
